National Tv schedule announced for this upcoming year. 18 games on CBS Sports Network and 10 on one of the Espn National networks. Bit better than Flo.

Ha! Yes, all 18 midweek games in October are on NATIONAL TV, and in most cases, they will be the only college football available.

The games listed as ESPN Platform are subject to appear on any of the ESPN network channels with a 12 day window for the announcement due to the potential for a change in kickoff time.

As a plug, I personally subscribe to YouTube tv. They carry both CBS Sports Net and the ESPN channels. Starting last year, they offer viewing multiple football games simultaneously on split screens as well.

I am not sure what "platform" means. Are those streamed games that might also go linear?

No---not exactly...

A platform just refers to any method (linear or stream). In this particular article--they are just saying that Twenty games listed as being on platforms are not assigned a particular "spot" in the ESPN "group"--yet. Most of those will probably end up on ESPN+--but some will be bumped up to ESPNU, ESPN2, or in rare cases even ESPN. They want flexibility--and CUSA is happy to oblige. Games are sometimes moved due to weather, scheduling flukes, rankings, etc..

Sometimes even MORE "new" games are Added--or bumped up to a higher platform. This happens some most seasons.

Having Five games on ESPN2 is a welcome improvement over last year. ESPN2 is watched more nationally and is usually included in "basic" cable and streaming services.

Of course none of the above includes Bowl games which are always on the main ESPN network--as the only game being played. CUSA had four in Bowl games last year and could easily increase that to five (even six) this season. CUSA 2024 Football - GoHens.net (9)

We also use YouTube TV and use the split screen option as well. We enjoy the ability to watch from a phone or laptop while traveling or simply when not at home.

I imagine a lot of the games will be on ESPN+, still way better than Flo. Exciting new era.

We are over 1 year in with using YouTube TV and LOVE it. For all the reasons you described and more. Also saving well over 100$ a month in cable costs.

Won't at a minimum all UD games for all sports be on ESPN+ when UD is in the CUSA starting 2025-2026?

IMO--yes--but Many of your games will be on "higher" platforms.

EXAMPLE--KSU (first year in CUSA this Fall)--

ESPN2-1

CBSSN- 4

"probable" MW network (ONE)--free online

To be determined-3 (probably most on ESPN+, but could easily get one bumped UP)

Other games--ESPN+, also to say again--ESPN+ games occasionally get bumped up

It is the off season...but there is still news to find out there. CUSA 2024 Football - GoHens.net (15)

Thank you, HERO Sports.

Top returning FCS WRs for 2024.

https://herosports.com/fcs-football-top ... vers-bzbz/

No Hens on this list...despite our coach's focus on skill players. CUSA 2024 Football - GoHens.net (16)

So far, also no Hens on the list of top players for their uniform number (they have gone through 99-85 so far, with one number each day).

https://herosports.com/fcs-football-202 ... down-bzbz/

Also, they have an interesting stat regarding transfers last year...and a recap of the win differential (from the previous year) of teams that did have a lot of transfers:

"Portal movement was at its high point heading into the 2023 season. There were about 314 FCS-to-FBS transfers, 546 FBS-to-FCS transfers, and 353 FCS-to-FCS transfers."

So, more players transferred down to FCS from FBS than up...and plenty of crossovers in FCS.

https://herosports.com/fcs-football-tea ... rove-bzbz/

Tubby: 3 national titles, one won on the field, all D2
Keeler: 3 national titles, all won on the field, one as a player, two as a coach, 1 D2, 2 FCS
Carty: 2 on-field national titles, one as a player, one as an OC, both FCS

Carty - get an FBS bowl win!
