I had heard through a close friend the work of Dr. Greg Erens. He did revisionary surgery on my friend 2 years ago. HisWork is legendary.

Dr. Erens came recommended by 2 of my friends he had done surgery on and he did not dissapointment .

Dr Erens did such a great job with my surgery, and I was up, moving and out of the hospital within hours after my surgery. I was off pain meds within 2 days and walking around without a walker or any other aid less than 2 weeks.

This is the second time I have been to Dr Erens. He did my first knee replacement and I would not go any where else.

Dr. Erens need to everyone doctor, he is the best! My hip replacement surgery was second to none! I had little to no pain, soreness and tenderness from the cut, I wouldn't know that my hip were replaced, except for No More Pain! Thank you Dr. Erens and staff for a excellent superb job!

The doctor explained the procedure that was recommended and each step of the process so that I could feel comfortable and easily understood. Thoroughly enjoyed talking with him regarding my concerns and issues.

Dr Erens was referred to us by Dr Thomas Myers who has been my orthopedic surgeon for 25+ years. That referral was excellent and immediate trust established.

Excellent communication and bedside manner. Excellent surgeon who has already successfully completed my left full hip replacement. Right Full hip replacement is scheduled.

The experience with this team has always been excellent. I DO feel, however, that the process for scheduling the elective procedure following the consult with the surgical team could be modernized and made more patient friendly. Surgical authorizations from other physicians involved in care of the patient now require the patient to hand carry a paper form to the other physician's office(s) and leave information on a paper form on a clipboard. Then follow-up is the responsibility of the patient so that it's necessary to communicate with busy physicians and make sure that they follow thru and FAX the paper form back to the surgical team. This can result in much frustration and delay. If a patient's physicians are all in the Emory system, it seems that this could be streamlined and handled online wit much greater efficiency. The patient is then required to coordinate with the scheduling person from the surgical practice to determine if all authorizations have been received before the surgical procedure can be scheduled. This must all be done by telephone conversation, meaning lots of voicemail messages and missed calls.Then it's another 2 months of waiting for the actual procedure.
